One of the childhood game that I played when I was younger and it’s probably how I got interested in video games. New games come out pretty often so let me just explain about the series a bit. Previously I have also talked about Bowsette and here is the origin.

Oh no! The Princess has been kidnapped! Time to go save her!

Although there had been many Super Mario games, they all go by the same concept. Let’s talk about the first game. Super Mario Bros. is a platform game. Let’s talk about the first game.

In the first game, Mario must move toward the end of the level and reach the flag. If Mario touches an enemy, hit by a projectile, or falls in a hole, he dies and loses a life. With a powerup, he pretty much have an extra chance but loses the powerup. Moving on the levels to get to Bowser’s castle and save Princess Toadstool, or Princess Peach.

Mario has several “power ups” which can be gained from hitting a question mark block. A red and white Mushroom will make him big. If Mario is big and if he touches an enemy he gets smaller; he will not die. If Mario is big and he hits a question block that has a power-up, a fire flower will come out. The fire flower will give him the power to throw fire balls, which can kill enemies. If he gets hit as Fire Mario, he will go back to being small Mario. There are new and different power ups from each game with have different properties.

There are a total of 8 worlds and each world is divided into four levels. Some levels are underground and others are underwater. When Mario is underwater, he cannot jump on any enemy and he will shrink or die if he touches one. The first seven worlds all have a castle which you can only find a toad at the end, and not the princess, so they would tell you that the princess is in another castle.

Each fourth level is the castle. Mario faces lava, fire bars, and other enemies in this level. At the end of the level is Bowser, who stands over a lava pit. Mario can throw fireballs to defeat Bowser. He can also jump over or run under Bowser to an axe. Touching the axe will destroy the bridge and cause Bowser to fall into the lava, killing him.

There are many new Super Mario games that have different variation of things, so I’m just talking about the first game. The concept of the first game has been carried throughout Super Mario history and we all understand how the game works.

Also, since the toads/mushroom people were turned into bricks, they can be seen throughout the level. So if Mario decided to break the blocks….
